It’s only possible for non-Members to visit the Club at the invitation of a Member.
If you are to be a guest at the Club there are a few things it might be helpful to know; some of them are detailed below. If you have any questions at all before visiting please do give us a call on 020 7376 3311.
The Club occupies a house on Old Church Street in Chelsea. It’s situated on the west side of the road, halfway between the Fulham and King’s Roads. There’s a map at the bottom of this page.
The nearest tube is South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly; 8 minutes’ walk). Lots of buses stop two minutes walk away on the King’s and Fulham Roads. The stop is called Old Church Street unless travelling west on the King’s Road, when it’s Carlyle Square you want.
Pay and display parking is available outside the Club and in surrounding streets like South Parade and Elm Park Gardens. There’s plenty of single yellow line in Old Church Street too, which can be used after 6.30 pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays.
There is a small front step in the porch: a ramp is available from the Front Desk.
All the public rooms of the Club are on the Ground Floor with flat access; there is an accessible loo.
Sadly all of our bedrooms are on the first and second floors and accessible only by staircase.
Access to the garden is via one shallow step: once again there is a ramp available.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
For further details and to arrange any necessary assistance do please call 020 7376 3311.
Bicycles must be left parked outside, please. There’s a rack next to the motorcycle bay just north of the Club, outside number 149.
The Club has no dress code and in truth very few rules; but the few we do have are taken rather seriously.
We are an actual not a virtual community. No electronic devices may be used in the Club for any purpose whatsoever.
Photography is strictly forbidden.
Only Assistance Dogs are allowed into the Club. If you get the chance, please let us know if you’ll be bringing yours.
Guests under 16 who are the children or grandchildren of a Member are allowed into the Dining Room and Garden between 12 noon and 5 pm on Sundays. At all other times the Club is for guests over 16 only.
The place possesses a curious and rare charm.
